Antoine Surprenant dit Sansoucy
and Marie-Anne Robert.
Antoine Surprenant settled in nearby Saint-Philippe-de-La Prairie where he married the widow Marie-Anne Robert on 11 Jan 1762.

Over the course of her 34 year marriage to Antoine, Marie-Anne would give birth to 12 children including our ancestor Marie-Josephte on 06 September 1767.
So many of their children died very young, only a few of the dozen lived to adulthood.
Antoine, 48, died in Montréal 15 February 1784, just a month after his father's death. His daughter, our ancestor Marie-Josephte Surprenant, married Paul Mondou ten years later. Her mother Marie-Anne Robert died 14 May 1804 in Longueuil at the age of 64.
