Jacques Robert dit Le Breton and
Marie-Anne Laurent dit Lamothe.

Jacques Robert dit Le Breton married our ancestor Marie-Anne Laurent dit Lamothe in La Prairie on 20 April 1739.

They had four children, including our ancestor Marie Anne born on 13 February 1740 in La Prairie.

Marie-Anne Laurent died on 5 Sep 1744, the first of three deaths in the family. Daughter Marguerite and her infant son Jaques both died that fall.  Her only surviving child was our ancestor who was 4½ years old at the time.

Jacques then remarried Catherine Raymond on 3 May 1745. The couple had eight children in LaPrairie.

Our ancestor Marie-Anne Robert, 20, married Jacques Morin on 04 November 1760, two months after Montréal had fallen to the British on 8 September 1760, ending the French and Indian War or La guerre de la Conquête. Morin died the following March and the couple's only child, Jacques, passed away in November. She remarried Antoine Surprenant in 1762.

Her father Jacques, died on 8 Apr 1785 in Saint-Philippe. He had been widowed a second time as Catherine Raymond passed on 5 Nov 1771.
